Robert A. Creo

For many years, Bob has been recognized as a prominent ADR practitioner by other lawyers and has received recognition by Best Lawyer’s in America, Who’s Who, Super Lawyers, and Pittsburgh Magazine’s Top Lawyers. He is respected for his ability to create, organize and lead ADR entities. He was a founding member of the International Academy of Mediators and Mediators Beyond Borders (MBB).

Education
Bob received his B.A. in 1974 from Brandeis University and his J.D. in 1977 from Washington University School of Law.

Experience
Bob has mediated or arbitrated over 4,500 days since 1979. He has extensive experience resolving catastrophic loss cases, complex commercial transactions, business conflicts and employment and construction disputes. He has served as a special master, an expert witness and consulting counsel for complex multi-party claims. For many years, he was a salary arbitrator for Major League Baseball and a grievance arbitrator for the National Football League. He was on the first panel of mediators for the Court of Arbitration for Sports based in Switzerland which administers cases for the Olympics and other international sporting events. He served as a neutral hearing officer for the United States Senate Select Committee on Ethics for 5 years.

Teaching, Training and Publications
Bob has published extensively including a 1,600 page treatise entitled Alternative Dispute Resolution: Law Procedure and Commentary for the Pennsylvania Practitioner (George T. Bisel Company, October 2006) and the Federal Arbitration Advocate’s Handbook (LPR Publications). His online publications include the Master Mediator column for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). He has presented several internet podcasts on ethics and topics such as the power of apology in resolving claims. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School Of Law and is certified as a Fulbright Specialist by the U.S. State Department.

Monique McKay
Monique’s diverse experience coupled with her education and commitment to advancing the field of negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution give her unique insights and make her well suited to handle complex, multi-party cases.
Education
Monique holds a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelors of Arts degree from UWO, an LL.B. (law) from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Law in Dispute Resolution (LL.M.) from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University.
Experience
Monique has experience in both community mediation and commercial cases. She has handled neighborhood disputes, juvenile issues and victim-offender cases. Her commercial experience includes employment, real estate and family business cases. She has also mediated catastrophic loss cases, medical malpractice cases and personal injury cases.
Monique also designs conflict resolution systems and is a policy consultant. She has designed dispute resolution systems focusing on due process for faculty, staff, and students, with systems that emphasize mediation and other informal conflict resolution mechanisms. Monique is often able to quickly identify systems problems that lie at the heart of multi-issue conflicts and is able to craft solutions that are creative and durable.
In addition, Monique has conducted extensive research in the field of self-government for Indigenous peoples in Canada and has a great deal of expertise in restorative justice and Indigenous legal and governance issues. Monique has a wide range of experience working with Indigenous and Canadian governments and organizations in regard to justice initiatives, education issues, self-government models and policy development related to self-government models and related issues.
Teaching, Training and Publications
Monique has conducted training on systems design and conflict resolution. She has also presented basic and advanced mediation training sessions internationally.
